| Recipes Traditional Irish Pavee recipes tend to be very simple, which is what one would expect after retroflection of the origins in which they were fostered. It should be of no surprise that they lack in a wide range of ingredients and contents that we would not currently consider exotic; but in the older world they were not only rare but potentially very expensive and far out of reach from the hands of the Irish Pavee. Of course recipes like all things inherited are in a state of flux and change, tinted by the uses of those that employ them and flavoured by the tastes of those that enjoy. These variations have resulted in either an abandonment or vast alteration from the original flow, but in a attempting to stay true to the reconstructed theme and origins below are some recipes that would and still are to a degree used by the Irish Pavee community. . | |
