ok guys here is the final one for now, i really hope people still read this section of the forum as i think it was doing fantastic and had many great poems from different members. still, with close to 1000 views at present i think it still has some interest..
this last poem for the day has lots of hidden meanings and the likes, see if you can see what they are and where im coming from..
also most of my poems to date are rather mundane to the poet lauerete amongst us as i write in a predictable A/B/a/b rhyming style, a style i am changing as time prgresses.;.
on a final note, i would love to see more poetry from you guys also, so please keep your ideas flowing and the poems coming..i prefer to read a good poem than write an over zealous one..
happy xmas and new year to you all..
The moving movement
On the road it seems
Is where we need to be
Away from the civilised housing estates
And protecting the impressionable from the likes of me
As we leave and trod along
From the lovely scenic town
Tinkers leave here right now
Helps to drown out the motors sound
Any farmers field
Or any inviting ditch
As long as we don’t park to close
To the lovely expensive soccer pitch
We rob and we steal
And we fight and we kill
We eat our babies, our children and our pets
We do all your imagine allows you to expect
Ireland as a nation
Was founded to obtain rights
Where along the distorted road
Did the people lose sight
